Founded on 26 March 2011, the Union of Small and Medium Industries of Tunisia (UPMI) is an independent and apolitical organization that defends small and medium industries (SMI) .

It treats their specific problems and aspirations to insure the improvement of the industrial sector and to afford to the SMI the right place they deserve in the national economy.
